The crab seems to walk around the stage, and can destroy the teacup  (possibly also the bridge), and can presumably injure the fighters if it walks near them. It seems that wild Pikmin will play a key role, as they can be seen constructing the climbing stick in the area. With this, it can be assumed that wild Pikmin will rebuild the bridge and the teacup if they are destroyed.
