:Hi Cevan. While many images on the Asset Library are PNG, in this particular case all the Pikmin 3 Support and Character artwork were .JPEG files. (Or .PSD files if you wanted the "suitable for print" quality images.) For transparent images, like the logo, there were PNG versions, but not for the ones I downloaded. Which is a shame, because PNG is so much easier to work with. =\ I'll keep an eye out for PNG versions though.
