At the moment, [[:Category:Map images]], [[:Category:Radar patterns]], and [[:Category:Maps]] are very disorganized categories. From what I can tell, [[:Category:Map images]] is a very old category for map-type images, [[:Category:Radar patterns]] is specifically for textures of maps from the radar, and [[:Category:Maps]] is where [[:Template:File info]] places images with the type of Map. There's a lot of overlap in what types of images they cover, particularly in the case of [[:Category:Map images]] and [[:Category:Maps]]. In order to sort out this mess, I propose that [[:Category:Maps]] be merged with [[:Category:Map images]] by editing [[:Template:File info]], and all the radar textures in [[:Category:Map images]] be moved to [[:Category:Radar patterns]] (over time, as there are several), and all the non-maps in [[:Category:Map images]] be removed. Perhaps we could have a category specifically for custom-made diagrams as well. :That sounds like a plan to me. In fact, I'm even thinking the following: Category:Radar patterns for game textures that show any sort of map. Category:User-made maps for anything not official.
