It bears a strong resemblance to a standard Anode Beetle, but its head is larger and more clearly separated from its body. It is also considerably larger than the Anode Beetle. Unlike Anode Beetles, Widemouthed Anode Beetles are actively hostile and will devour any Pikmin they come across. They emit a constant stream of electricity, and will electrocute any Pikmin that aren't [[Yellow Pikmin]].
