The Olimar Amiibo is part of the fourth wave of the Super Smash Brothers series of Amiibo. It is scheduled for a September release date along with Zero Suit Samus, Bowser Junior, Ganondorf, and Doctor Mario. So far, the Olimar amiibo is only confirmed to be compatible with three games: Super Smash Bros for Wii U, Super Smash Bros for 3DS, and Mario Kart 8. In Super Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS, the Olimar Amiibo will act as a FP (Figure Player) just as all the other Super Smash Bros series Amiibos, and will save data to the Amiibo. In Mario Kart 8, the Amiibo will unlock an Olimar styled Suit for the Mii character. It will not save data to the Amiibo, and can be used alongside Super Smash Bros. | |||
