The old one is use a LOT of pikmin, and try to kill it off before it lifts off. My strategy is, using a small group of easily manageable pikmin, throw all of them on the wollywog, before it takes off. You WANT it to take off. i.e., the pikmin are attacking while the wollywogs in the air. the moment it starts to fall back to ground, you call your pikmin back. and repeat a few times.
