E3_Play3/play_3 is a beta map in Pikmin left in the disc. This map maybe showed up on a E3 Conference for peoples can play, or for only the Trailer.
Gameplay footage
This area remember a little the First Stage (Impact Site) and Forest Hope too. The only way to be played is by replacing files method, so that's because the objects and music stays of the first level. Geography
It have multi-ways, lots of ledges and wooden platforms. There is a big fog in the background (similar to other beta levels). The ledges are similar from Impact Site and Forest Hope. The grass is actually taken from Forest Hope, but a little more darker... There is no way to climb the huge wooden log on the beginning, the only way is when you start the stage (when Dolphin Spaceship lands into it)...
