We're going to have to decide once and for all which to have:

  • Capitalise all words in article titles except small ones like "of" and "to"; or
  • Capitalise only the first word and proper nouns.

Discuss, so that I can start fixing them. Also, in-article headings is another matter; for that, I definitely think the second of the above would be right. GP 11:33, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I've always been for the latter option. Are there seriously so many pages to re-name?--Prezintenden
Mostly for categories, we'll have to recategorise loads of pages. GP 22:18, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

Im for the former... I think it makes the articles seem to have more quality. 68.39.16.71 09:04, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I used to prefer than on the same basis; but now, I think it makes it more difficult to determine which words should be capitalised and which not. Also, the second is what is used in most places, including Wikipedia. GP 12:57, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey, why did you start changing it??? Look in any encyclopedia (a actuall book) and ther titles are capitaized. When only "first words" are capitalized, we are putting the title into sentence form, which it is not. At least in the US...

Also, all titles at places like youtube, google news, ect. are capitalized with everything. - ocolor (talk)

So? We're not Google. We're free to pick a system of our own. Why would it be wrong putting it into the sentence form? I like the idea, even though there are alternatives.--Prezintenden

I was basing it on Wikipedia and every other Wiki that exists. YouTube's titles are typed by video creators, so that's irrelevant. Yes, most news sites and on-paper texts prefer to capitalise most words. Looks like we still need to discuss, then. Er, links to Wikipedia's pages where the standard's set: this and this. And I blame Prezintenden for my starting without our agreeing, because he coaxed me into it on IRC...*cough* GP 17:16, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

lol. Oh well, it looks like thats how the format on wiki is. I don't like though >.<IAMAHIPO ocolor (talkcontribs)

Sign posts. Even if you're not logged in. Please. Wow, just found out that {{subst:User|username}} is an easy way to put a default signature for those who haven't signed edits. GP 18:58, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry >.< IAMAHIPO_ocolor 00:05, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Mcool appears to agree. Are we set?--Prezintenden

I suppose. I'll start going through all the namespaces. We ignore user, image, mediawiki and forum, of course.
Okay, all templates done. Template:Concept Art needs to remain as a redirect until someone's changed all the instances of it on the images. Help already fine, Pikmin done (Community Portal, it seems, is a proper noun in this sense...? At least, it's set like that in the Mediawiki software. Can be changed, but not sure. What do you think?) GP 14:08, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
*Long exhale* Considering what this is, I'd say we keep it.--Prezintenden
