Piklopedia (Pikmin 2): Difference between revisions

The '''Piklopedia''' is an in-game list of all the [[plant]]s and [[Enemy|enemies]] in ''[[Pikmin 2]]'' that the player has come in contact with throughout their exploration. The player can access the [[Menu#Piklopedia|Piklopedia's menu]] by pressing {{button|gcn|l|wii|padl}} when on the [[Menu#Area selection|area selection menu]]. Creatures that have not been seen yet will not appear on the Piklopedia, but their grid slots will still show their Piklopedia number. This feature also keeps track of how many [[Pikmin family|Pikmin]] have been lost to each enemy, how many of said enemy the player has defeat so far, and how many [[Poko]]s the enemy is worth. For fields that cannot be counted, four dashes appear instead.

[[Pikpik carrot]]s can be thrown at [[Enemy|enemies]] to see their reaction, although the throws cannot be aimed – not even with the [[New Play Control! Pikmin 2|''New Play Control!'' remake]]'s enhanced cursor – and are loosely based on the direction the [[camera]] is facing. [[Olimar's notes]] can be read by pressing {{button|gcn|x|wii|+}}, and [[Louie's notes]], if available, can be read by pressing {{button|gcn|y|wii|-}}. [[Ultra-bitter spray]]s can also be used on the non-plant creatures by pressing {{button|gcn|z|wii|1}}; this does not affect the in-game spray count. The Piklopedia is the counterpart to the [[Treasure Hoard]], which shares [[Music in Pikmin 2#Piklopedia/Treasure Hoard|the same music]].
