::According to [https://tcrf.net/Proto:Pikmin_2/Piklopedia_Entries#022_-_Doodlebug The Cutting Room Floor], an early version of the English translation didn't give the Doodlebug a family. So if the family was only added later, it makes sense that they would have misremembered the name. In any case, this is a similar situation to the flutterbie / floaterbie one. - According to The Cutting Room Floor, an early version of the English translation didn't give the Doodlebug a family. So if the family was only added later, it makes sense that they would have misremembered the name.
