It's worth noting that the maximum amount of Sparklium obtainable on a save file is 99999, as view-able from the file select screen. After this, additional Sparklium collected will not add to the total, but will still register when obtained within a level (although the extra Sparklium will not cause the total to surpass 99999.) I've uploaded an image showcasing this to the gallery. Unsure whether or not this maximum value changes outside of the US version. I also have not been able to test whether or not it is possible to surpass this cap by collecting treasures, as I had collected all treasures before reaching the max cap.
