The '''Mamuta''' is an anti-enemy found in the Pikmin games. It resembles a huge, rocky creature with two small eyes. Under the left eye (the one on our right), there appears to be a tatoo like marking of a castle (this can be seen closely if you go to the Piklopedia in Pikmin 2 and zoom in). In the first game, it will just stand and watch the Pikmin walk by. If the smallest attack is done to it, however, it will become enraged and pound the Pikmin into the ground. This, strangley enough, doesn't kill them, but will replant them and turn them into flower Pikmin, however it is not known how it is done. How to Kill
Pikmin
Swarm it and hope it doesn't put all your Pikmin into the ground. If you have the Pluckaphone, that's not a problem. Also easy to kill if you keep throwing Purple Pikmin on it. Note that the Pluckaphone is found in Submerged Castle.
Captains
This will take a while, but keep to the back and punch it. If you get in front, it'll plant you, so stay behind it at all times.
