Raging Long Legs is a boss in Pikmin 2. It is related to the Beady Long Legs, but has bigger, hairier feet, a bigger body (to the point where any Pikmin can reach it), is glossy black with purple veins, and moves more slowly. It is also much stronger, and so takes longer to kill. Unlike the Beady Long Legs, the beast shakes Pikmin off and starts stomping angrily if enough damage is dealt to it that it becomes agitated; this is more dangerous due to the size of its feet. The fact that it has a larger body means any kind of Pikmin can be thrown onto it without waiting and makes the battle easier. It dies in the same manner as the Beady Long Legs, ejecting its possessions from its body, crumbling into dust. If this creature does not have any treasure to drop, it will instead drop 30 Mitites. It can however regain health if left alone.
This rare boss is only seen on the last sublevel of the Hole of Heroes, the single sublevel of the Cavernous Abyss in Challenge Mode, and in the Angle Maze stage of 2-Player Mode if the stage is shaped with a large center.

Strategy
Attack it with a group of 10 to 15 Pikmin (20 is possible but a little bit risky) purples are the best for this. Defeat all jellyfloats first before you fight him than lure it out his web with aCaptain. Call your pikmin and go under him and throw all your pikmin on him. A Ultra-spicy spray is very useful for this fight. If he wants to shake off your Pikmin call them back and throw them again under him while he is in his rage mode (Notice:If you keep doing this it wil shake your Pikmin of again and will be angry again but sometimes it wil rest and roar and stop stomping this a good chance to deal much damage). This is the fastest way to kill it because you damage it the whole time. You can also usePurple Pikmin and throwing them on his foot but gives not much damage and his feet are difficult to dodge. You can also throw your Pikmin from a distance and when he wants to shake them of call them back. This is a safer way when you want to use a large group of Pikmin. You can still throw them back but beware that you don't state his feet too close or you can you wait until it's calmed done. Using a Ultra-bitter spray does not help much,because his defence increase and wil take only a little bit of damge even when coming with a big group of Pikmin it wil not beat it with one spray. It's also very dangerous, because it goes immediately in his rage mode.
Trivia
- The Raging Long Legs has the most health out of all creatures in Pikmin 2, even more than the final boss of the game.
- Its scientific name, pseudoarachnia furiendis, means 'fake spider fury': pseudo meaning fake, arachnia being close to arachnid, which is the order of spider, and furiendis is close to fury.
- Raging Long Legs is the only boss to appear in 2-player battle mode.
