The '''rumble''' is a built-in feature of the [[GameCube]], [[Wii]], [[Wii U]], and [[Nintendo Switch]] controllers. It provides tactile feedback to some actions happening in the game. Events that cause the controller to rumble are sometimes accompanied with the [[camera]] shaking, to further enhance the sensation of a powerful action.

The rumble feature can be enabled or disabled in ''[[Pikmin (game)|Pikmin]]'' and {{p2}}{{'s}} [[Menu#Options|options menu]]. In ''[[New Play Control! Pikmin]]'' and ''[[New Play Control! Pikmin 2]]'' however, this setting has to be changed on the Home menu, accessible by pressing {{button|wii|home}} on the Wii Remote while playing any Wii game.

Oddly, in {{p3d}}, actions that will make player 1's controller rumble will also make player 2's controller rumble, though weaker. This is true regardless of what game mode or controllers are used.
