The '''Repugnant Appendage''' is a treasure in ''[[Pikmin 2]]''; it is actually a dirty pink [[Wikipedia:Shoe|shoe]] with a velcro strap and a teddy bear on it is likely that it is a baby shoe judging from design and proportion. It is found on the final [[sublevel]] of [[Frontier Cavern]] and is in the possession of an [[Empress Bulblax]] that constantly gives birth to offspring known as [[Bulborb Larva]]e. When retrieved, the [[Rush Boots]] component of the [[Exploration Kit]] is unlocked.

 

The Rush Boots are a modification to the [[captain]]s' footwear by [[The Ship]] that allows them to run faster, at the same speed as flowered [[White Pikmin]]. They work by reducing air resistance and so allowing the captains to have greater speed. The Rush Boots also renders the blowing attack of [[Puffy Blowhog|Puffy]] and [[Withering Blowhog]]s ineffective against captains. They can however be a hindrance, as the Pikmins' speed is not increased so they fall behind, are harder to control and often get stuck where going around corners.
