Reformat the data file pages[edit]

We can remove the data file images from the galleries of data file pages and put them under each tab, like this:

Pikminology #1[edit]

Pikmin1File.jpeg

Pikminology1.jpg

  • Text: The Onion is like a nest for the Pikmin. It both gives birth to them and provides them with shelter.
  • Area: Tropical Wilds
  • Location: This file is revealed after the Pikmin move the cardboard box near the original Red Onion site.

Maybe it would look better in this way? — Mr Biantainne (talk) 07:07, August 18, 2026 (UTC)

Yeah, that does sound like a good idea. -Gulliblepikmin 09:00, August 18, 2026 (UTC)
I'm not sure if this would be an improvement, as there are some disadvantages to it. As the images contain the text of the data file, this would duplicate the text below. However, in cases where the 2 English versions of the text differ, it would only show 1 of them, so 1 version would be shown more prominently than the other. Having all the images in 1 section of the article makes it easier to see them together, compared to if they were spread across the article. In addition, not all data file articles have these images, and the data file images on the wiki are taken in multiple versions of the game and have different user interface elements in them as a result. If we had images that were the textures of the images that are in data files, I would definitely support adding them to each data file's section, but since we only have screenshots, I'm not sure if they should be added. — Soprano(talk) 10:55, August 18, 2026 (UTC)
Then maybe we can update the screenshots and use the Pikmin 3 Deluxe version for all of them? Putting images under each tab will definitely make things easier for players who are trying to collect all of the data files.— Mr Biantainne (talk) 03:38, August 19, 2026 (UTC)
