The Forest of Hope is my favorite area in the pikmin series in fact, I prefer all the areas in pikmin 1 over the areas in pikmin 2 excepting The Wistful Wild.

If you go to this area after I don't know which day, the Bulborb ammount seems to have triplicated. There's about 9 Red Bulborbs! {{User:Snakeboss14/sig}}

== Getting to forest of hope w/o main engine? ==

Apparently, its possible to get the positron generator before the main engine by getting a pikmin extinction on day one through a glitch which allows you to drown all of your red pikmin. then, you can grow more pikmin, clip up there and go to the gate, getting to the positron generator. You'll have to free it by getting your reds to swim over to it, then have olimar lay down on top of it and slowly push it out of the water and near the ship, then have your pikmin carry it to the ship. It will apparently still allow you to access the forest of hope, as the only part they think you can get without glitches is the main engine. So apparently the forest of hope only requires one part.
