Split proposal

I think this template should be split into 2 templates: 1 for an unreleased game, and 1 for a recently released game. Alternatively, a parameter could be added that sets whether the text reads "an upcoming" or "a recently released" in the middle. There are few enough articles this is used on that such a split could be done easily, and it would reduce the ambiguity of someone seeing this at the top of an article and not initially knowing if the game is out or not. — Soprano_(talk) 23:20, March 29, 2021 (EDT)

Hm, I don't really feel it's important. Regardless of it being upcoming or recently released, the message the box is trying to convey is the same, and there is no practical reason to differentiate (like for instance, page categorization). — {Espyo^T} 13:13, March 30, 2021 (EDT)
