Enemy plurality[edit]

So I'd like to ask, why exactly are you changing a lot of enemy articles' opening paragraphs to have far more plurality in them than they did before? I'm genuinely curious. -Gulliblepikmin 19:30, February 24, 2024 (EST)

I thought it looked rather unorganized the way some enemies are plural and others singular for the articles with seemingly no basis in a consistent schema. I thought it would be a good idea to clean it up such that common non-boss enemies would all be plural and bosses singular. I didn't change the content of what was written, but merely swapped the grammar to be consistent. Please let me know if you disagree with this process or have any further suggestions as to making it more logical. -Ladishchap 14:38, February 25, 2024 (EST)
I personally disagree with this change. Singular generally looks better than plural in my opinion. Using plural makes sense if using singular forces the wording to be really weird, but singular should be the default. It's worth noting that Wikipedia uses singular to describe animals. — Soprano(talk) 15:58, February 25, 2024 (EST)
Thank you for the feedback. I was simply following the trends for the wording for the articles to begin with. Before, the majority of non-boss common enemies were worded with plural formatting, with a minority having singular formatting. Likewise, the majority of rare/boss enemies were worded with singular formatting, with a minority being plural. I wanted to make it so that it was consistent according to this trend. As for which one makes more sense with reference to what Wikipedia does, it appears the formatting is split there as well. Large Animals: (plural), (singular), Insects: (plural), (plural), (singular) We should stick to the formatting I proposed, do singular by default, or something else that is consistent and logical, but a decision should be made regardless. I would be more than happy to convert the wording back or to something else. -Ladishchap 16:34, February 25, 2024 (EST)
The reason why some of the articles you linked are in plural is because they are describing groups of species, not a single species. Wikipedia articles about specific species seem to always use singular wording (example, example, example). On Pikipedia, there is currently a mix between singular and plural wording on enemy articles, with some articles using a mix of both in a way that's sometimes ungrammatical but doesn't look bad. I do think it would be a good idea to standardize this though, and of the two options, singular is the clear better one. — Soprano(talk) 17:27, February 25, 2024 (EST)

Bulborb infobox image[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to point out that the image currently on the Bulborb article's infobox is just one of the "spin me around to see me from different angles" renders from Pikmin Garden, just like the full-bodied Snagret and Cannon Larva images (which is why it's in such a basic pose). The "alt render" meanwhile, seems to be the main image that's being used to represent the enemy (except for its Piklopedia icon, since those are all in basic poses) officially, so it should probably be the one in the infobox, again, like with the Snagret. 2 B (talk) 14:20, March 12, 2024 (EDT)
