Redirects
Heya. Regarding your recent edits about removing redirects to bomb rock (and other things), you don't really need to do that. Redirects are completely invisible to the reader, especially if they just read and don't click on the link. For editors, it offers no advantages and makes life slightly harder, since instead of the name "bomb-rock" and some square brackets, the editor now has to read (and maybe even alter) the whole truckload of characters that make up the two-part link. If anything, doing these changes is slightly worse for the wiki since it just adds bloat to the recent changes, and helps consume server disk space. Finally, redirects can actually be a good thing. Imagine if when Pikmin 4 releases, the bombs are renamed to "bomb stone". We'd have to move the bomb rock article to the new name, but now all of the links you left this week will be redirects again, with the added problem that they're now in the long two-part link format, and somebody would have to go through all the articles again and fix them all. Instead, by leaving them as simple links that are redirects, both "bomb rock" and "bomb-rock" would link to "bomb stone" without anyone even needing to lift a finger.
If you want to correct redirects, your efforts are best used when you're fixing something that's wrong, like "Emporer Bulblax". Those redirects only exist for when people search and mistype, but that text shouldn't exist within articles. I hope I've cleared things up on the matter. — {EspyoT} 11:31, September 17, 2022 (EDT)

Redirects[edit]
