A group of Scornets attacks.
Scornets in formation

These creatures are bee-like and are always in swarms. Using ground based Pikmin is practically useless. The best way to defeat a swarm is to use large amounts of Winged Pikmin in order to outnumber them. These enemies look similar to the bee-like boss which controls them using its harp-like beak.

These enemies are capable of making coordinated formations that are capable of attacking and eventually killing your Pikmin swarm.

Trivia

  • They appear to draw inspiration from shuttlecocks (also known as birdies) from the sport Badminton.
  • They also appear to draw inspiration from birds, as they have feathers and beaks.
  • They also seem to have two 'extra' needle-like stingers on the end of their original stinger, having an unknown purpose.  This can be seen if you zoom in on a body with the KopPad's camera function.
