Doodlebug

The Doodlebug is an enemy in the Pikmin games. It is the same in general appearance to the Iridescent Flint Beetle, except it is coated with dirt and has small flies hovering around it. However, it is actually in the Flint Bug family, not the Flint Beetle family. They, like Iridescent Glint beetles, drop spray, ultra-bitter spray. However, they are never seen above ground. Unlike the other Flint Beetles, they can attack; when they move, they flatuate (a taboo term, fart) and leave mixturous clouds of metahne and HS2 (hydrogen sulfide), or better said, poisonous gas wherever they were, thus making nearby Pikmin subject to poisoning. They may drop treasures in Challenge Mode.

Many of these can be found on Sublevel 1 of the Frontier Cavern.
