Event-exclusive Pikmin merchandise

To do: Add pictures of the E3 2013 Lanyard, Pikmin Beanie, "Obey the Captain" t-shirt, and cork coasters. Organize page like other merch pages.
Care to do so?

  • In the back of The Official Nintendo's Player's Guide for Pikmin, there was an advert for a Nintendo Power subscription which featured a Pikmin beanie. Customers could buy a subscription to Nintendo Power and specifically ask for the beanie with their subscription in order to obtain it without any extra fee. The beanie is black and featured the Blue, Red, and Yellow Pikmin.
  • Those who pre-ordered Pikmin 2 from the store Circut City received a Captain Olimar themed T-shirt as a pre-order bonus. The shirt is orange and features an image of Captain Olimar's head with the text "Obey the Captain" as well as a Pikmin 2 logo at the bottom right of the text. This shirt was seen being worn by Bill Trinen during E3 2012, when advertising Pikmin 3 features.
  • EB Games offered an exclusive "Pikmin clock in a can" with Pikmin 3 pre-orders. It required customers to pull up on the metal tab of the can to see the clock, just like a canned food item.
  • Certain retailers gave away themed cork coasters when pre-ordering Pikmin 3. There were two patterns: a red colored scrambled pattern, and a blue circular pattern, each featuring the main three Pikmin types.
  • A European store called GAME offered one of three Pikmin keyrings with any Pikmin 3 pre-order. Buyers could choose from a Winged Pikmin, a Rock Pikmin, and a Blue Pikmin, all with various fruits. These keyrings were part of a series of five which also featured a Red and Yellow Pikmin. However, those two were only available through the Club Nintendo of Europe.
  • In Japan, pre-ordering Pikmin 3 or purchasing it on the day of launch from the store Yamada Denki, would allow the buyer to receive various Pikmin 3-themed promotional merchandise on a first-come-first-serve basis. This merchandise included a file folder, a pen case, a picnic sheet, and a set of punch-out rulers.
  • There were Pikmin 3 patches representing the three original Pikmin types, given away at various locations such as E3 2013, and the Pikmin 3 GameStop Hands-On event.
  • A lanyard was given out for free by Nintendo at various locations such as E3 2013, and the Pikmin 3 GameStop Hands-On event, and featured many Nintendo characters including a Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin.
  • In 2013, for a limited time, a Pikmin 3 poster was available as a GameStop Powerup Rewards item for 7,240 points. The poster is 24×36 inches and features the full Pikmin 3 box art.
  • During the San Deigo Comic Con, a Pikmin 3-themed T-shirt was sold at the convention.
  • Those who pre-ordered Hey! Pikmin in Japan from the store amiami, received a set of Pikmin keychain charms. The four charms include a Red, Blue, and Yellow Pikmin, and the Hey! Pikmin logo.
