The Pikmin Behavior menu.

The Pikmin Behavior Category (Pikminology Category in PAL), is a category from the Exploration Notes menu in Pikmin 3. It holds 30 Data Files discussing the behavior and abilities of all the Pikmin. Most of these data files can be found around PNF-404, just about anywhere, hidden or not, while some are automatically given to you after completing certain task.

Pikminology  #1

"The Onion is like a nest or the Pikmin. It both gives birth to them and provides them with shelter."

• Area: Tropical Wilds

• Location: The File is revealed after the Pikmin move the cardboard box near the original Red Onion site.

Pikminology  #2

"Stand under an Onion and then press A to take out or return Pikmin."

• Area: Garden of Hope

• Location: Obtained once landing on the Garden of Hope.

"Different colored Onions can fuse to become a single Onion."

• Area: Garden of Hope

• Location: Obtained once the Rock Onion fuses with the Red Onion.

"New Sprouts will be the same color as the Pikmin that retrieved the pellet or creature."

• How to Obtain: Once more than 100 pikmin are on the field but there are more inside the onion.

• Location: In the corner with the eggs near the Mock Bottom.

• How to Obtain: Obtained once the sun meter is close to sunset for the first time.

• Location: In the cave with the Pyroclasmic Slooches, near a Golden Candypop Bud.

• Location: Under the Rock Onion once activated.

"Rock Pikmin inflict extraordinary damage when thrown directly onto an enemy or object."

• Location: Past the Crystal Wall outside where the Rock Pikmin are found.

• Location: Beyond the area with the 2 Yellow Wollywogs, near 2 Skitter Leaves and a Toady Bloyster.

• Location: Right next to circuit where the Yellow Pikmin are found.

• Location: Right next to the Small circuit in the cave where Yellow Pikmin are found.

• Location: In the cave where Yellow Pikmin are found, near the 5 Pellet on the high ledge.

• Location: On the ledge near base with the Arachnode.

• Area: Garden of Hope

• Location: In the pipe where Blue Pikmin are found. 

Blue Pikmin #2

"Blue Pikmin can attack while swimming."

• Area: Garden of Hope

• Location: A little to the right of the underwater Brown Fragments.
