Sparklium is the fuel used to power the S.S. Dolphin II in Hey! Pikmin. When Olimar crashes on the planet introduced in Hey! Pikmin, the S.S. Dolphin II informs him that it has lost the entirety of its fuel and they need to recover 30,000 Sparklium in order for the ship to become fully functional. The primary source of Sparklium are Sparklium Seeds, which come in golden and red varieties.
Sources of Sparklium
As previously mentioned, Sparklium seeds come in golden and red varieties. Sparklium Seeds can be found in the open, spawn from defeated enemies, or being carried by Coppellers. Treasures are another source of Sparklium, and the amount of fuel they yield is variable. When a treasure has already been collected, it is replaced by a Rainbow Sparklium Seed. Additionally, crystals that yield Sparklium can be found in the Sparklium Spring.
