I think that that's in place because someone might reword a sentence to their own preference, and, of course, that would be changing copyrighted material. Although I haven't come across any, there may be spelling or grammar errors in-game, and bringing it up would help differentiate between that and a typo in copying the information. I think the best option might be to link to this talk page, with something like 'Have you noticed an error in one of the in-game notes?
