Unknown Enemy 10 is a moth-like monster that was revealed from the Nintendo Direct aired on 12.5.12. It was shown in a cave like area, being so dark the ememy emits light. It has hairs growing from its head which light up pink when disturbed, wings that are orange on the outside and beige on the inside, yellow legs and eyes. When this creature spots pikmin, it will suck in air with its gaping, whale-like mouth, causing a vortex to form that will trap any pikmin that wander into it. Once this happens, a few of the trapped pikmin will get sucked into the creature's mouth and are eaten instantly.
Rock Pikmin don't seem to be lifted by the vortex's suction power. In the trailer, only Red and Yellow Pikmin are seen to be lifted by the vortex and are eaten.
