Event Challenges are a type of month-long event in Pikmin Bloom that are able to be participated in after reaching Level 5. The current Event Challenge and the player's current progress on the missions can be viewed by clicking on the "Event Challenge" tab. This tab displays a green tile featuring a big flower at its center, with a circular track arranged around the big flower, which is split into four quarters. Beneath this, missions are shown with various requirements for completion; steps taken, flowers planted, Pikmin grown, petals plucked, expeditions done, or mushrooms destroyed. The player's Mii is displayed marching upon the track, and will advance as missions are completed, leaving a trail of flowers behind them. As each of the four quarters are completed, new missions will be presented, and the Big Flower in the center will grow through its phases; from a few tiny shoots at first, to a sprout, then a bud, and finally into a bloomed Big Flower once the challenge stage is completed. Upon completion, the challenge stage will advance, awarding the player a Gold Seedling for the event's Special Decor Pikmin and some seasonal nectar, and placing them upon a new track with a new Big Flower to grow. There are four challenge stages in total, each with their own missions, and each event's missions vary slightly. Upon completing the fourth stage, the player will reset to the first stage and restart the process.
When a mission is completed, tapping its entry will bring the player to a roulette screen displaying six items, with one of the player's Pikmin beneath. These items range from various types of seasonal petals, Weekly Challenge Tickets, Mushroom Recharge Tickets, Flower Planting Accelerators, Detectors, Single-Use Slots, Event Currency for the current event, or a Huge or Gold Seedling of the event's Special Decor Pikmin. Tapping will cause the item roulette to begin revolving, and tapping again will cause the roulette to slow, stopping as the Pikmin jumps and taps the winning block, with the Pikmin waving happily as the prize is displayed. If the player does not tap the second time, this process will eventually conclude on its own. The timing or absence of a tap does not affect the outcome, as each prize is predetermined.[1] Upon receiving most rewards, players (except child accounts) are given the choice to receive the reward as-is or double it for a certain amount of coins. If the player is unable to receive a reward due to insufficient storage, they will then be prompted to discard the item, receive the item later, or upgrade the respective storage. If seven spins of the roulette wheel are done without receiving a Seedling, the next wheel opened is guaranteed to be a pity wheel, with the only possible reward being a Gold Seedling. The counter for the pity wheel includes all wheel spins, even wheels that do not have a Seedling in their rewards pool.

2023 Sneaker Keychain Event[edit]
The 2023 Sneaker Keychain Event took place from May 8th at 00:00 until May 31st, 2023 at 23:59 local time. Features of this event included:[2]

- Sneaker Keychain Decor Pikmin were available for the first time. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from special missions.
- During the event, Sneaker Keychain Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 20 points of attack power.
Other information:
- An Event Challenge Special Pack and new Mii costumes were available in the shop. If purchased, the newly introduced pairs of sneakers unlocked special missions that rewarded the matching Sneaker Keychain Decor Pikmin upon completion.
2023 Fingerboard Event[edit]
The 2023 Fingerboard Event took place from June 1st at 00:00 until June 21st, 2023 at 23:59 local time. Features of this event included:[3]
Decor Pikmin information:
- Fingerboard Decor Pikmin were available, with Blue, White, and Rock Pikmin available for the first time. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from special missions.
- During the event, Fingerboard Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 20 points of attack power.
Other information:
- This event introduced the Event Premium Pass and the pity wheel to the Event Challenge system.
- An Event Challenge Special Pack, new Mii costumes, and the Event Premium Pass were available in the shop. If purchased, the newly introduced T-shirts unlocked special missions that rewarded the matching Fingerboard Decor Pikmin upon completion.
2023 Chess Piece Event[edit]
The 2023 Chess Piece Event took place from June 22nd at 00:00 until July 20th, 2023 at 23:59 local time. Features of this event included:[4]
Decor Pikmin information:
- Chess Piece Decor Pikmin were available, with new designs and colors available for all Pikmin types for the first time. There were 2 sets of colors for all Pikmin types, unoffically referred to as "White" and "Black", with a total of 10 new Decor Pikmin introduced during this event. Each set of 7 Chess Piece Decor Pikmin were obtained at different times throughout the event. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from special missions.
- From June 22nd to June 28th, 2023 and July 6th to July 12th, 2023 local time, Gold Seedlings grew into Chess Piece Decor Pikmin from the "White" set.
- From June 29th to July 5th, 2023 and July 13th to July 20th, 2023 local time, Gold Seedlings grew into Chess Piece Decor Pikmin from the "Black" set.
- Gold Seedlings earned from inviting friends could grow into Chess Piece Decor Pikmin from either the "White" or "Black" set, no matter which set was currently available to obtain from other methods.
- During the event, Chess Piece Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 20 points of attack power.
Other information:
- This event ran alongside the Pikmin 3 Deluxe Throwback Event.
- An Event Challenge Special Pack and new Mii costumes were available in the shop. If purchased, the newly introduced chess piece hats included special missions that rewarded the matching type and color of Chess Piece Decor Pikmin upon completion.
- The availability of the different colors of the chess piece hats followed the availability schedule of the Chess Piece Decor Pikmin.

2023 Pikmin 4 Spaceship Event[edit]
The 2023 Pikmin 4 Spaceship Event took place from July 21st at 00:00 until August 13th, 2023 at 23:59 local time, to celebrate the release of Pikmin 4. Features of this event included:[5]

- Pikmin 4 Spaceship Decor Pikmin were available for the first time. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from Special Mission Tickets.
- During the event, Pikmin 4 Spaceship Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 25 points of attack power. Koppaite Space Suit Decor Pikmin also gained an additional 25 points of attack power, as a bonus from the prior Pikmin 3 Deluxe Throwback Event.

2023 Mahjong Tile Event[edit]
The 2023 Mahjong Tile Event took place from August 14th at 00:00 until September 10th, 2023 at 23:59 local time. Features of this event included:[6]
Decor Pikmin information:
- Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin were available for the first time. There were 2 different tile sets for all Pikmin types, unoffically referred to as "Tile Set 1" and "Tile Set 2", with a total of 14 new Decor Pikmin introduced during this event. Each set of 7 Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin were obtained through different methods.
- Seedlings for "Tile Set 1" Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from Special Mission Tickets.
- Starting from August 26th local time, Seedlings for "Tile Set 2" Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Mystery Boxes, from inviting friends, and from Special Mission Tickets.
- During the event, Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 20 points of attack power. They were especially strong especially strong against Mystery Mushrooms.

- This event introduced Event Mushrooms to the Event Challenge system.
- The design of Event Mushroom for this event was
Mystery Mushrooms. Mystery Mushrooms only appeared after August 26th, 2023 local time. - Starting from August 26th, 2023 local time, a set of 3 missions was made available to complete. Clearing each mission rewarded the player with a Mahjong themed T-shirt, with three total to obtain.

- Halloween Treat Decor Pikmin were available for the first time. Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from Event Currency missions, from inviting friends, and from Special Mission Tickets.
- Jack-o'-lantern Decor Pikmin were available. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Mystery Boxes and from Special Mission Tickets.
- During the event, Jack-o'-lantern and Halloween Treat Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 25 points of attack power. They were especially strong especially strong against Halloween Mushrooms.

- This event introduced Event Currency to the Event Challenge system. The design of Event Currency for this event was

- This event introduced two changes to the Event Premium Pass that stayed for all future Event Challenges. Players Level 20 and above were now able to purchase the pass, instead of Level 50, and purchasing the pass within the first week of the event granted high amounts of Event Currency as a bonus.
- Postcards obtained during the event featured special Halloween themed background and stamp designs, with an exclusive design available to obtain from destroying Giant Halloween Mushrooms.

- Puzzle: 2022 Summer Memories Decor Pikmin were available for the first time. Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Currency missions and from Special Mission Tickets.
- During the event, Puzzle: 2021 Fall Memories and Puzzle: 2022 Summer Memories Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 25 points of attack power.
