The 2026 New Years Event took place from January 1^st at 00:00 until January 31^st, 2026 at 23:59 local time. Features of this event included:

Decor Pikmin information:

• Osechi Decor Pikmin were available for the first time. Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Challenge missions, from inviting friends, and from Special Mission Tickets. After clearing the first Event Challenge mission, a bonus Gold Seedling was rewarded.
• 2023 Glasses Decor Pikmin were available. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Special Mission Tickets and from a Special Completion Ticket.
• 2024 Glasses Decor Pikmin were available. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Event Currency missions and from Special Mission Tickets.
• Party Popper 2025 Decor Pikmin were available. Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Mystery Boxes and from Special Mission Tickets.
• During the event, 2023 Glasses, 2024 Glasses, Party Popper 2025, and Osechi Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 15 points of attack power. They were especially strong against Magnificent Mushrooms.

• The design of Event Currency for this event was Koma Spinning Tops.
• The design of Event Mushroom for this event was Magnificent Mushrooms. Defeating a Magnificent Mushroom granted the player a Mystery Box.
• Special Mission Tickets, a Special Completion Ticket, Camellia and Moth Orchid Bundle and Gift Packs, new and returning Mii costumes, and the Event Premium Pass were available in the shop.
• Postcards obtained during the event featured special New Years themed background and stamp designs.

• Starting from February 4^th local time, Lunar New Year Ornament: Red Decor Pikmin were available. Gold Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Special Mission Tickets and from a Special Completion Ticket.
• Starting from February 4^th local time, Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold Decor Pikmin were available. Seedlings for these Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Mystery Boxes and from Special Mission Tickets.
• During the event, Lunar New Year Ornament: Red, Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold, Chocolate, and 2026 Chocolate Decor Pikmin were stronger against mushrooms, gaining an additional 15 points of attack power. They were especially strong against Colorful Mushrooms.
