In {{p4}}, this menu acts near identical to the one in [[Pikmin 3 Deluxe]]. It contains a button to cancel, a button to confirm, and a button to auto fill with the suggested Pikmin types of the current area. It contains one box with an Onion symbol and numbers inside at the start of the game. An additional box will be added each time the player has unlocked a new Pikmin type. The numbers below the selected Onion symbol indicate the number of Pikmin of that type that are present inside the Onion, while the numbers below indicate the number of Pikmin that are currently in the field. The total below indicates how many Pikmin a leader has access to and currently has in the party.

When the player hovers over an Onion type, the {{button|switch|lstick}} symbol appears and has two arrows pointing up and down. However, it will only show the arrow pointing up if the current limit of Pikmin in the field has been reached or only the down arrow if the amount of Pikmin in the party is zero. The player can use {{button|switch|lstick|switch|rstick|switch|pad}} to select a Pikmin type and add or subtract from the amount of Pikmin in the party and inside the Onion. The player can also select {{button|switch|y}} in combination with the aforementioned controls to select ten Pikmin at a time to add or subtract from the party.
