normal idea[edit]

i have an idea of this game so yeah. the idea is a build mode (basically for those who dont like modding or are scared of viruses when modding lol) if you have a NS online then you can publish them to the public. they can either require an id or just people can search for it. anyway on to the building, you can put fruit or enemies, and even replace mission mode stages with your builds. you can only put fruit in if you have a SPERO placed in the stage. with enemies you either need a SPERO but if you have an onion the enemies will just go there. modes: collect treasure & battle enemies. i put in collect treasure just earlier. for battle enemies, its different. no SPEROs are allowed to be placed. there thats basically it, but this also means you can not have fruit. (you can change the time amount and health amount for enemies, as well as changing enemy colors.)

NOTE: min fruit amount is 10, max is 40. min enemy amount is (battle enemies mode 10, collect treasure mode 1) max enemy amount is (battle enemies mode 50, collect treasure mode 19) Ceppelson (talk) 1:53, June 24, 2021 (EDT)

You can try Pikmin Fanon as a place to document your ideas. — {EspyoT} 15:56, June 26, 2021 (EDT)

Disappointed[edit]

I am heavily disappointed. I would of preferred a Pikmin 4. Does this mean that Pikmin 4 is dead? Green Shy Guy 54 (talk) 14:33, August 5, 2020 (EDT)

  • I agree with you, I wanted Pikmin 4 too. However, with the new content that was announced, maybe it will be better than the original game ? As for Pikmin 4, I really hope it doesn't mean that the game is cancelled. Perhaps they're porting Pikmin 3 to the Switch in order to know if people are still interested in this franchise ? I'm Hugik, big fan of Pikmin. Want to talk ? 07:25, August 6, 2020 (EDT)

Joy-Cons Required?[edit]

I have a nasty feeling that this game will require Joy-Cons. My Joy-Cons barely function, so I hope we can use a pro controller for all modes. Not just single player! I hope we don't get an Animal Crossing NH situation with multiplayer. Green Shy Guy 54 (talk) 12:44, August 6, 2020 (EDT)

  • As far as we can tell, it seems Joy-Con are required only for multiplayer on Switch Lite particularly. That being said, this is a ligament concern and I hope multiple controllers are supported. --TundraDragon (talk) 22:49, August 6, 2020 (EDT)

About the Dirt Walls "change"[edit]

This "change" looks to be more so a glitch than a deliberate change. As we are most likely looking at an unfinished build in these screenshots, should a note clarifying that this may be a glitch be added? --TundraDragon (talk) 22:49, August 6, 2020 (EDT)

It is hard to say Nintendo would record footage of a glitch for their promotional material. The difference isn't even subtle. Fans have also noticed this change appear both in the Piklopedia and in an actual gameplay screenshot. And at the end, it looks too stylistic to be accidental. — {EspyoT} 04:35, August 7, 2020 (EDT)

Cleanup[edit]

This article is in serious need of cleanup. At the moment, the "Changes from Pikmin 3" section is really long, disorganized, and contains lots of information that can and should go in more relevant articles. But having a general list of all the changes in this article is important, and although we shouldn't list all the details here, having a thorough list of changes is still useful. It needs to be structured well though. I think we should take inspiration from how the Official Minecraft Wiki documents major updates, as they have a consistent, logical, and thorough way of listing changes. Pikmin 3 Deluxe is effectively a major update, so we should try to cover it similarly. — Botanist(talk) 01:21, June 29, 2021 (EDT)

Online service maintenance[edit]

It probably means nothing, and isn't worth adding to the article, but I'll write it in this talk page for safekeeping: P3D entered maintenance on the 7th of April, 2022. — {EspyoT} 14:59, April 7, 2022 (EDT)
