Should this template include Challenge Mode locations? --Upgrader 22:03, 29 October 2011 (EDT)

Do specific challenge mode levels include specific treasures (albeit in random places)? If so, yes, definitely. {EspyoT} 08:44, 30 October 2011 (EDT)

Well, I think the Silencer only is in the Bully Den and I think ROB's head is only in two levels. I guess the template would be useful for uncommon treasures like those. I also remember never seeing the Courage Reactor, the Titan Dweevil's weapons, Doomsday Apparatus, or King of Bugs anywhere in Challenge Mode. --Upgrader 12:26, 30 October 2011 (EDT)

Yes, CM treasures are the same every time AFAIK. Sounds good; added the field. I expect there'll be NTSC/PAL differences as with in teh main game, but just stick '(NTSC only)' or whatever after it to avoid complication. GP 16:58, 30 October 2011 (EDT)

Field titles[edit]

Some of them look cramped, like Treasure Hoard Number and Challenge Mode Location(s). I propose we abbreviate those two to 'Hoard Number' and 'CM Location(s)'. Thoughts? GP 17:21, 30 October 2011 (EDT)

Agreed, although I'd call it "Number" and "Challenge locations". "Hoard number" may confuse some people and "CM" just doesn't sound professional. {EspyoT} 08:02, 31 October 2011 (EDT)
Does CM Location(s) fit in one line? I don't really like it either because it's such a vague acronym, but if it fits in one line I might approve of it because of the link. Otherwise what Espyo said.--Prezintenden
No, it doesn't; 'Challenge Location(s)' sounds fine. Should 'Number' still link to Treasure Hoard? GP 16:45, 31 October 2011 (EDT)
Yep, it should. Specially because it avoids confusion. Although "number" is a good name for the field, people don't necessarily think about the treasure hoard when they see that word. {EspyoT} 18:13, 31 October 2011 (EDT)

More fields[edit]

[1] Info on early Treasure Hoard treasures was posted on TCRF, and it contains data about the height, radius and Pikmin radius of each treasure. Now, I don't know if this info was easily readable on the old Treasure Hoard's file (otakara_config.txt) but not on the final files or not, but... the game definitely has data for those fields. If we can access them, I vote on having that data on the infoboxes. It may not be as important as the other fields but... for completion's sake. Who knows? We might need that data some day. {EspyoT} 09:13, 7 November 2011 (EST)

It is indeed easily readable on the version I have, but I'm not sure it's right to have it in the infobox. For one thing, it's not something people just playing the game normally are going to care about - unlike, for example, enemy HP, which we also obtained in this manner. I can understand having a special page with a table of treasures and some data on them, or for it to be at TCRF, though. GP 16:08, 7 November 2011 (EST)
TCRF focuses on unused content. Yeah, I noted that it wouldn't be useful, but just added for completion's sake. But now that you mentioned having a page just for technical data, I'm all in favor of that. {EspyoT} 16:20, 7 November 2011 (EST)
Yeah. I mean, maybe you could put a link to that page in a 'See also' section at Treasure Hoard. If you don't have otakara_config.txt, here: jpn, pal, us (those are the directory names they're in; for some reason I have all three). GP 16:29, 7 November 2011 (EST)
I can't even tell which most of them are. I won't do that... at least not for now. {EspyoT} 14:00, 8 November 2011 (EST)
Apparently I or someone else worked them out at some point... GP 17:55, 8 November 2011 (EST)

Pikmin 4 treasures[edit]

Since Pikmin 4 treasures also have a Sparklium value, their treasure pages are automatically put in the Hey! Pikmin treasure category. I don't know how to fix this problem, can someone else do it? CrazPiki (talk) 03:00, June 30, 2023 (EDT)
