Beady Long Legs: Difference between revisions

Its Japanese name, {{j|ダマグモ|Dama Gumo}}, literally translates to "Ball Spider", once again reflecting the creature's spidery look and the spherical body. The technical name, "pseudoarachnia armoralis" likely translates to "armored pseudo-arachnid", with "pseudo" being Greek for "fake", and an English word in its own right, "arachnia" being a reference to "[[wikipedia:Arachnida|arachnida]]", the real world class for spiders, and "armoralis" likely meaning "armored", due to its strong resistance.

The creature's internal name in ''Pikmin 2'' is the same as its Japanese name, "damagumo", but in ''Pikmin'', only the "spider" part of the word remains, making it "kumo".
