It looks like a mere spotlight. However, the odd part is that it's in a place where one would NEVER think it would be. Take the image on the right. See that black part on the bottom, where "[Ship's Log] · · (+)" is written? The texture is the fully black background of that bar. It doesn't make any sense, but it's true.
