The Automatic Gear is a rocket part that's found in The Forest Navel. It chugs along at its own pace and it makes piloting easier, giving Olimar time to concentrate on finer points of space travel. It also had thin cracks runnig through it when Olimar retrieved it. Then, he tried to fill the cracks with dirt and hoped that it would be alright. The Automatic Gear is found on a ledge where you have to build a pole to get it. Shearwigs are found under the pole so they should be taken out so your Pikmin wouldn't be attacked by the pests as they carry the cargo to the ship.
