The Data Glutton is a cordless phone in real life. It is dropped by the Armored Mawdad, and it will expand the Drake's scanning range. Once obtained, the Distant Tundra will be accessible.

The first step to retrieving the Data Glutton is to defeat the Armored Mawdad. This may take a few tries if this is the first time facing off against the Mawdad.
