Template:Infobox collectible The Data Glutton is a cordless phone in real life. It is dropped by the Armored Mawdad, and it will expand the Drake's scanning range, and create a green signal from the antenna. Once obtained, the Distant Tundra will be accessible.

The first step to retrieving the Data Glutton is to defeat the Armored Mawdad. This may take a few tries if this is the first time facing off against the Mawdad. For beginners, if the ultra-spicy spray has been unlocked, it is recommended to use this to speed up the process. Click here to see some strategies for defeating the Armored Mawdad.
Once the beast has been defeated, it will spit out the Fire-Breathing Feast, as well as the Data Glutton. The only required object is the Data Glutton, but if the player is low on Pikmin or juice, they may carry back the Mawdad's corpse and the dragonfruit. It should not take too long to carry back. If the player is short on time, they may leave the Data Glutton in the Mawdad's arena, and come back tomorrow to pick it up.
Once the Data Glutton has been retrieved, Alph will work at incorperating the object's transmitter into the S.S. Drake's communication system. Thus the Distant Tundra will be unlocked.
