The Nintendo Switch is Nintendo's 8th home console. It was officially announced with a trailer on {{date|20|October|2016}}, and is scheduled to launch on {{date|3|March|2017}}. The console itself is a gamepad similar to the [[Wii U|Wii U Gamepad]], but the sides of the gamepad can disconnect, allowing them to perform as stand-alone controllers. The console also includes a dock, in which you can insert your console, allowing you to connect and stream to your TV screen. Since the entire console is built within this gamepad, the Switch doubles as a home console and a handheld.
