I don't know if I ever encountered this glitch, but it might be due to Candypop Buds. When a Pikmin is thrown in, that Pikmin is lost (but the game doesn't accept it as "killed"), and a new Pikmin appears (the game doesn't treat it as "born"). {EspyoT} 09:25, 12 March 2011 (EST)
We should probably see if anyone else has experienced the glitch or if there is some kind of video showing it. Loafy the Breadbug
