:The transformations over time could still be random, but the initial state could be the same every day. Are the Master Onion color swirls random?

I noticed that the article claims that the color swirls in the Pikmin 3 Master Onion are random, but I may have found evidence that suggests otherwise. I was watching a speedrun for the 42 Pikmin challenge, located at https://youtu.be/I6Nbx70NzLk, and noticed that at the start of every day when the player has all 5 types, the pattern is always the same. The timestamps are 1:25:52, 1:41:57, 1:48:34, and 1:59:19. Is this evidence that the color changes always happens the same way? Or could there be semi-random elements to it? - Botanist (talk) 19:03, September 13, 2020 (EDT)

The transformations over time could still be random, but the initial state could be the same every day. One way to check would be to start a day, wait like 5 minutes, check the pattern, then start a new day, wait 5 minutes again, and check then. — {EspyoT} 10:18, September 14, 2020 (EDT)
