'''Channel Gone Dry''' is the sixth day of [[Olimar's Comeback]]. It takes place in the [[Twilight River]], and has the objective to collect [[fruit]]s and [[nugget]]s, similar to the Collect Treasure! stages in [[Mission Mode]]. The mission's name comes from the fact that the river through the area is completely dry.

== Plot ==
[[Olimar]] and [[Louie]] land in [[Twilight River]] to collect more [[fruit]] and [[nuggets]] for profit. The river, much like in [[Creature Hunting|Tropical Wilds on a previous day]], is now dried up. Possibly because of this, many new enemies (most native to the [[Tropical Wilds]]) have populated the area.

At the end of the day, Olimar notices half of the collected fruit is missing. He confronts Louie about the issue, who promptly drops everything and runs. Olimar complains about this, but admits it's his duty to talk with his partner, which he does [[Looking for Louie|on the following day]].

== Description ==
The mission mostly takes place in the second main area of the [[Twilight River]], on the downstream side of the river. However, as the title suggests, the river is completely dry, and [[water]] is nowhere to be found. Several land enemies have moved into the river as a result. The [[SPERO]] and [[Onion]] are found in the east of the area, in a space normally occupied by 3 [[Orange Bulborbs]] in [[Story Mode]]. While most fruits are nearby and can be reached fairly quickly, there is 1 fruit and a pile of nuggets that are in a different [[segment]] of the area, which in Story Mode is the path leading up to the [[Scornet Maestro]]. Since accessing this part of the area requires building a [[bridge]], the mission largely involves building this bridge while defeating enemies and collecting other fruits. All of this level's fruits are contained within enemies.

All the fruits in this mission are inside [[Enemy|enemies]], and you only start with a few Pikmin, so growing more at the start is essential; start the mission by growing Pikmin by defeating the nearby [[Dwarf Orange Bulborb]]s and the [[Medusal Slurker]]. Use the nearby bomb rocks to destroy the [[reinforced wall]], then go past it with a larger squad to defeat the [[Flighty Joustmite]]s and the [[Armored Cannon Larva]], which drops a fruit. Go up the ramp and defeat the enemies there to gain access to 10 more [[Red Pikmin]], as well as another fruit. Walk out of the other side of the area, defeat the [[Fiery Blowhog]]s, and turn right to find a pile of [[fragment]]s. Begin to carry them with whatever Pikmin you have left, making sure that the path to the bridge is clear. To get the other pile of fragments, return to the base and head south to a round area with a [[Whiptongue Bulborb]]. Defeat it and start carrying the fragments behind it. Once the bridge is done, cross it and get to the segment at the top of the tree, which has an Armored Cannon Larva. Defeat the enemy and carry it, its fruit, and the [[nugget]]s behind it to the base. After that, go around the rest of the area, defeating any remaining enemies, collecting the fruit they drop, and collecting the other pile of nuggets.

*Unusually, it's possible to rotate the [[camera]] in the path that normally leads to the Scornet Maestro in Story Mode. The camera is normally fixed here, but by rotating it, it's possible to see through the wall on one side, as well as to see some of the environment around the path.
