The Life-Form Prototype is a treasure found in Hey! Pikmin. It can be found in the Pollution Pool area. It is a vacuum tube. It is quite a small treasure, having a very low weight of two, and only being slightly taller than Captain Olimar. He mistakes the treasure for a robotic creature, possibly mistaking the poles on its bottom for legs, and the glass near its top as a head.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Just to the left of the exit of the second set of doorways is a vine that needs Yellow Pikmin to pull down. Climb up the vine and enter the doorway to the left. The treasure is located on the top screen, so throw two Yellow Pikmin to have them carry it. Wait for them to carry the treasure over the wooden stake and throw one Pikmin at it to bounce the treasure and the Pikmin carrying it to the higher platform. The Pikmin will carry the treasure over a ledge on the right, allowing it to be collected.

One should avoid, though, pushing the wooden stake to its highest level. If this happens, the Pikmin carrying the treasure will be bounced away, leaving the treasure behind. The Pikmin won’t pick the treasure up again. In this state, it will become very difficult or even impossible to collect.

Notes

Hey! Pikmin logs

This prototype for a robotic life-form resists attempts by the S.S. Dolphin II to read its mind. Maybe when we get it back to Hocotate, we'll have better luck at getting at the secrets of this technological advancement. Or maybe that's a terrible idea! What if it's smarter than we are? Oh, now I'm going to have bad dreams! I think I'll just take the Sparklium and try not to think about it.
