The Repugnant Appendage (かぐわしき存在) is a treasure in Pikmin 2; it is actually a dirty pink shoe with a velcro strap that has the head of a teddy bear on it. From the design and proportion, it is likely a baby shoe. It is found on the eighth and final sublevel of Frontier Cavern and is in the possession of an Empress Bulblax that constantly gives birth to Bulborb Larvae. When retrieved, the Rush Boots component of the Exploration Kit is unlocked. Like some other treasures, if the player defeats the Empress Bulblax, but does not have enough Pikmin to carry the Repugnant Appendage, which requires the strength of twenty Pikmin, it will change weight to match the player's army.

Rush Boots
The Rush Boots is a modification to the leaders' footwear by the ship that allows them to run more quickly, at the same speed as flowered White Pikmin. The Rush Boots also renders the blowing attack of Puffy and Withering Blowhogs ineffective against leaders. The ship explains both functions as the result of lowered air resistance. It can provide to be a minor hindrance however, as the Pikmin's speed is not increased alongside the leader's, so they fall behind, are harder to control and often get stuck when going around corners.
