Where does a picture of a Poko appear? Cuz I may be just ignorant, but I never have seen one. IS

Whenever you make money... IAMAHIPO_ocolor 23:48, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

They actually show them a lot, but not in places you might pay attention to. The most detailed picture is in the opening cinema, where a shiny animated poko is shown next to the 10,100 poko debt. When you're in the file select (ship's log) screen, it shows how much money you've earned in the bottom-left corner, along with another little picture of a poko. A little poko sprite can also be seen when a beast is returned to the Ship's pod. Basically, whenever an amount of money is listed, it's accompanied by a little picture of a poko. —Jimbo Jambo (Gah, Hippo got to it first)
Oh, alright. So I guess I am just ignorant. :P JK. Thanks for clearing things up! InfectedShroom.

Can someone take better screenshots? Volatile Dweevil's User Page! Volatile Dweevil Volatile Dweevil's Talk Page!::

Where in the game is there a larger Poko image than that?GP
I'm thinking it just seems like a bad image because the game fuzzies it (you know what I mean). What about holding R behind to the Pod when something goes in?--Prezintenden
That sounds...really pointless. I doubt the image stored in the game is much better, or any larger, than what's on the page. Your best bet might be concept art, but I don't see them making any of a Poko...GP

New image[edit]

It's a little worse, IMO, since it's smaller and the context of the old one is nice (and it's not been cut out particularly well). Neither is great, though, but meh. Anyone else? GP 05:53, 15 August 2011 (EDT)

Maybe we should upload the texture for a Poko from the game itself (implying one of the images isn't already a texture). {EspyoT} 11:16, 15 August 2011 (EDT)
Miles had a look, couldn't find anything. GP 17:39, 15 August 2011 (EDT)
The Poko in the cutscene is part of the CGI itself, but I'm sure I could rip the texture from the HUD, if only Dolphin didn't decide to explode on me. {EspyoT} 18:40, 15 August 2011 (EDT)

My Explanation for deleting the line[edit]

I am deleting the line about pokos being worth 2 cents for these reasons:

1. It can be easily presumed since the Pikmin Planet is Earth that humans don't exist any more, and therefore have no economic system.

2. It's working under the assumption that the price of it in our society and amount of pokos you get for selling it as a treasure overlap, which is flat out wrong, since it would have to be sold for the same purpose or there ends up being various pricing problems. (Ex. If you sell a glowstick to someone for entertainment, but then sell it to a primitive tribe because it looks like a holy relic to them, you're not going to get a conversion rate out of it, as opposed to if you sold the glowstick for entertainment in the U.S. for dollars, and then went to Europe and sold it for entertainment in exchange for euros.)

3. (And most importantly) It's out of place and sloppy, especially since they're trying to come up with a conversion rate for just dollars. I live in the U.S. and find that to be biased, even if it seemed like an obvious choice to them. Redgamehunter 01:45, July 5, 2011 (UTC)

Comment by Dr.eggpikmin on 30th April 2014[edit]

Actually the debt was more than 10,100 pokos because they had to sell Cpt. Olimar's ship. The S.S Dolphin this just happened to bring the debt down to 10,100 pokos. - Dr.eggpikmin (talkcontribs)

It says a debt of 10,100 pokos. This implies that it counted as 2 debts, though maybe not separate. - RainbowPikmin (talkcontribs)
