If this is the spacesuit upgrades, why does it only refer to the Koppaites? If the Hocotations clearly have the ability to use it. Pikmin fan Ford4385 reporting for duty! (talk) 09:50, 28 March 2015 (EDT)

Because this article is more-or-less about the Pikmin 3 ones exclusively. It's a bit of a mess; we have to figure out how to combine the Pikmin 2 upgrade info with the Pikmin 3 info. — {EspyoT} 04:56, 30 March 2015 (EDT)
Ok, and if your going to combine the pages, or change the info to a new page, you should add that the Hocotations and Koppaites have the same spacesuits. (Charlie says something about remembering using the model louie uses, and how if you experience surprise it puts you to sleep) Pikmin fan Ford4385 reporting for duty! That info would go on spacesuit. If you can find the exact words Charlie says for both of those cases, please add it. — {EspyoT} 07:31, 30 March 2015 (EDT)
I'll try, but seeing how I just past that part, this will be difficult. Pikmin fan Ford4385 reporting for duty! (talk) 21:43, 5 April 2015 (EDT)

Exploration Kit[edit]

I suggest making the Exploration Kit less about the Explorer's Friend kit from Pikmin 2, but about all spacesuit upgrades. Not just for Pikmin 2 and Pikmin 3, but for any future games that incorporate upgrade-able spacesuits. After all, the Scorch Guard, Anti-Electrifier and Metal Suit Z return to Pikmin 3 with the exact name (and may in fact be the exact suit upgrades from 2). It's not inconceivable that Pikmin 4 and beyond will drop upgrading the spacesuit entirely. Phineas81707 (talk) 04:05, 11 November 2015 (EST)

Update:[[User:Phineas81707/ExplorationKit]] has a general idea of what I'm suggesting. It could use cleaning up, but I was more focused on the idea. Phineas81707 (talk) 22:47, 11 November 2015 (EST)

I like where you're going with this, but I don't know it will work. Pikmin 2 has the Exploration Kit, so we need a page for it, but Pikmin 3 does not, so we can't put its collectibles on a page titled Exploration Kit. We'd either wind up with a complete Upgrades page and a redundant Exploration Kit page, or the Exploration Kit page would have to redirect to a page not called Exploration Kit, which might be against policy.--En Passant 01:55, 12 November 2015 (EST)
I couldn't find anything in the policy against it, but then again, I couldn't find anything on redirects, so better sit on that. As for the title, it doesn't necessarily need to be Exploration Kit, that's fine, but some of the upgrades explicitly aren't for the spacesuit. Either way, the main focus is putting the Scorch Guard, Anti-Electrifier and Metal Suit Z information between games on one page, with a general focus (before I expanded the Kit page, the Pikmin 2 information was on the treasure pages). Here's my plan: create an "upgrade" page that lists all upgrades in the series and details them. This includes spacesuit upgrades (Scorch Guard) and general upgrades (Spherical Atlas, Solar System). We could create one article per upgrade, but having articles with only one or two sentences would be horrible. Anyway, this "upgrade" article wouldn't be bound to any specific game, and would keep everything in an organized fashion. As for the Explorer's Friend Series article, we'll keep it, as we've kept all other Series articles. Finally, that which is called "Explorer's Kit" isn't so much a concrete concept as it is the name given to a group of upgrades in Pikmin 2. I think deleting the article Explorer's Kit (it's so small) and instead having a section on the Explorer's Friend Series would be the way to go. Such a section would merely say something like "In Pikmin 2, the collection of upgrades possible to obtain in the game are given the name Exploration Kit. This is nothing more than a list, and its completion status can be seen on the pause menu. This list consists of the members of the Explorer's Friend Series, except for The Key." — {EspyoT} 05:34, 12 November 2015 (EST)

Thank you. I'll get right on that. Good thing I came prepared. Phineas81707 (talk) 07:34, 12 November 2015 (EST)
