Plays in the majority of cave sublevels in the game. This ambient track is comprised of different types of synths, varying from bit-crushed sinewaves, a sporadic clicky bass and slightly distorted high-pitched droning sounds, to an electronic hi-hat and various distant background sound effects. These instruments are used in an isolated and seemingly random fashion, alongside all being played with delay and reverb with the exception of the bass. These aspects reflect the size and uncharted nature of the caves, contrasting with the area music's more calming music.
This track is also reused in the track Dandori Challenge (Sage Leaf), where multiple parts are sampled marginally faster alongside a consistent 4/4 beat. Since those parts fit suitably with this rhythm, it's possible that the original track was also written in 4/4.

Plays in sublevels 1 to 4 of the Engulfed Castle after approximately two minutes have passed. It plays faintly at first on top of the regular cave music, and gradually becomes louder until it replaces the cave music entirely, signalling that the Waterwraith is about to appear. It is near identical to the Submerged Castle theme from Pikmin 2, with only minor adjustments in the arrangement to allow the music to play in time with the default cave theme.

Plays in sublevels 1 to 4 of the Engulfed Castle, after the Waterwraith appears. It is a faithful arrangement of the Waterwraith's theme from Pikmin 2, a frantic and intense song in 5/4 time reminiscent of thriller soundtracks that conveys a sense of urgency.
