In order to keep the front page fresh, but to not overload the editors, the featured article is changed every two months. To decide what article to feature next, all editors are encouraged to '''[[Pikipedia:Featured article/nominations|nominate and vote]]''' on articles. When the time comes to change to a new article, one trusted editor gets tasked with checking the nominations, discussing with the community tie-breakers and other details, and update the front page.
