Normally, the creature slowly and passively walks around its territory. When Pikmin or a Captain come close, however, it will flare its ears up to reveal its face and try to grab one and consume them. They have large amounts of hair that drapes over their mouths to make their faces resemble skulls. The Bearded Amprat is a species found only in Pikmin 3. It is based on a rat, or a guinea pig. As shown in its name, it surrounds itself in an electric shield, so only Yellow Pikmin can harm it. They can be found in the Distant Tundra.

Strategy

Defeating a Bearded Amprat is fairly simple, as they have no form of defense against Yellow Pikmin. Players should use only this type of Pikmin, and just throw as many Yellow Pikmin as possible onto the Bearded Amprat.
