Purple Pikmin are found in Pikmin 2 and you first find them in the Emergence Cave. You need them to get 3 treasures, and are useful for defeating enemies. They are very heavy, but like ants, they carry several times their weight! They can carry the weight of 10 Pikmin. They weigh ten times as much as an ordinary Pikmin. They're also the only pikmin that have any traces of hair. Their weight however slows them down when they move or carry items. Their battle abilities are superb because when you throw them, they make enemies bounce and may stun them for 8-10 seconds. When they land, their weight also causes damage, and their attacks are good as well. They are good for killing the mature Bulborbs as well, especially the Emperor Bulblax. You may find 3 Violet Candypop Buds on Sublevel 8 of the Subterranean Complex (Valley of Repose) if you need more.
