The problem with your suggestion of blocking anonymous users from editing is that it gives off the wrong impression; it doesn't encourage newcomers to help us here, which is the main point of the wiki. Some wikis have only really used it as a final resort when vandalism from anonymous users gets too much, and it isn't that bad here at all, only happens every so often. GP
